OBITUARY.

MARR.--Died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. A.J. Bigelow, in Chester township, Feb. 6th, 1887, at 4 o'clock A.M., Nathaniel Marr, aged 87 yrs., 11 mos. and 6 days.

The funeral services were held at the house Monday, at 10:30 A.M., and were conducted by Rev. Sharply, of Chester Center. The remains were interred in Sheridan cemetery.

He was born at Berwick, Maine, Feb. 28, 1799. He first came to Iowa in the spring of 1864, made a short visit and then returned to his home in China, Me. Two years later he decided to make his home in Iowa. He settled in Chester near Mr. B., where he lived several years. Then he moved to Malcom, where he lived until July last, when, finding his health declining, he decided to spend his remaining days with his daughter, Mrs. B.

He leaves four children: James Marr, of China, Me.; Mrs. Horace Norton, Albion, Me.; Mrs. A.J. Bigelow, Chester, Iowa; and C.E. Marr, of Rock Rapids, Iowa.
