MRS. JASON W. SHERMAN

The funeral of Mrs. Jason W. Sherman, who died on Sunday, June 8, at her home in Holly, Colorado, was held yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George F. Thomson, in Chester. Rev. E.M. Vittum conducted the services. Miss Helen Thomson sang two of Mrs. Sherman's favorite hymns. The pall bearers were the nearest relatives.

The body was accompanied to Grinnell by G.W. Sherman, son of the deceased, and his wife, from Hartman, Colorado.

Laura Jane Wheelock was born in Bakersfield, Vt., February 3, 1846, and in 1859 came with her parents to Iowa, and in 1864 was married to Jason W. Sherman of Chester township where they resided for many years.

Mrs. Sherman was a charter member of the Chester Congregational church and a member of the Community Congregational church of Hartman, Colo. For many years she was organist of the Congregational church in Chester.
