MRS. ELSIE FARHNEY DIED SUDDENLY

WAS BORN AND REARED IN POWESHIEK

Leaves Husband and Daughter, Besides Brothers and Sisters, And Other Relatives.

Elsie Estelle Ferneau, youngest daughter of Sarah and Walker Ferneau, was born in Montezuma, Iowa, October 27th, 1885, and departed this life at her home in Deep River, December 13th, 1928, after a brief illness.

Her early life was spent in and around Montezuma, where she attended shool until her parents moved to Malcom, in which locality she attended school and finished her education.

She was united in marriage to Earl H. Fahrney of Deep River, January 29th, 1910, and they have since made their home in or near Deep River.

She united with the Church of Christ at Deep River soon after her marriage, in which church she was always a willing worker, doing her part in everything. Her life was full of noble sacrifice as she was always forgetful of self in her interest in others.

She leaves to mourn her loss besides her husband and daughter, Roselle, two brothers, Chas. E., of Deep River, and Walter T. of Malcom, and three sisters, Mrs. J.D. Coulter and Mrs. John M. Harden of Montezuma, and many more distant relatives, and a host of friends and neighbors.

Private funeral services were held from the home in Deep River Saturday afternoon, and burial was in the local cemetery there.--Montezuma Republican.
