OBITUARY

MRS. M.M. MARSH

The body of Mrs. M.M. Marsh was brought to Grinnell, her former home, today, from Lamar, Mo., where she passed away on June 26, after an illness of a few days. Interment was in Hazelwood. She was aged 69 years, 9 months and 16 days.

Melinda M. Decatur was born Sept. 10, 1848, in Tioga county, New York. She came in 1868 to Grinnell, where she made her home for over thirty years. On March 24, 1870, she was married to Charles H. Marsh.

Since leaving Grinnell she has resided in Denver, Colo., Daytona, Fla., Springfield, Mo., and Lamar, Mo.

When quite young she joined the Methodist Episcopal church and since then has lived a devoted Christian life. Tender care for an invalid daughter had occupied her time for many years.

Those left to mourn the loss of a kind, loving and devoted mother and sister are a son and daughter, Ira P. Marsh, of Grinnell, and Edith J. Marsh of Lamar, Mo.; two brothers, Sam and C.E. Decatur of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Hettie Ellis, of Lusk, Wyo., and Mrs. Mary Jones, of Tulare, S.D. Three grandchildren and many relatives and friends also are left.
