MRS. ERNEST JARBOE

Mrs. Ernest Jarboe passed away at 12:00 o'clock Saturday noon, following a severe illness of about three months. She has been a resident of Grinnell all her life and has a large circle of intimate friends here.

Mrs. Eliza Schmitz Jarboe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schmitz was born in Grinnell, Dec. 12, 1883, and departed this life, Sept. 18,1920, aged 36 years and 9 months. Her girlhood days were spent on a farm four miles south of Grinnell.

On Jan. 23, 1918 she was united in marriage to Ernest Jarboe and since then her home has been 321 Main. She was a devoted wife and mother and a faithful friend, and will long be remembered and sadly missed. She was a devout member of the Catholic Church and she leaves a host of friends to mourn her untimely death.

She is survived by her husband, her baby son, John Edward, her mother, sister and three brothers.

The funeral services were held Monday morning at 9:30 at the Catholic Church. A Requiem High Mass was celebrated by the pastor, Rev. Father M.J. Hannon. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.
