ERNEST CHARLES JARBOE PASSES

Ernest Charles Jarboe was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, April 27, 1885 and died very suddenly at his home in Chicago, Tuesday, July 19, 1927 aged 42 years, 2 months and 22 days.

About 1915 he came west to this vicinity. He was united in marriage January 23, 1918 to *Elida Schmitz of Grinnell. One child, John Edward was born to this union. His wife preceded him in death having died September 18, 1920.

Mr. Jarboe was of a family of eleven children, three brothers and three sisters preceding him in death. Those who survive him are two sisters, Mrs. Theodore Comes of Owensboro, Kentucky and Sister Edwina of Clinton, and three brothers, Clestin of Bisbee, Arizona, and Robert and Allen of Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also survived by his own son, John Edward aged 8 years.

The body was brought to the home of his brother-in-law Francis Schmitz, where his little son has made his home since his mother was taken away. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Church at nine o'clock last Friday. Requiem High Mass was lead by Father M.J. Hannon.

Pallbearers were John Linden, Fenton Foster, Joe Gainor, James Hotchkin, E.F. Lynch and Owen Flanagan.
