MOTHER OF F.W. TOMASEK DIED SATURDAY EVE

Mrs. Frank W. Tomasek, mother of F.W. Tomasek, passed away Saturday evening, Jan. 16, 1943, in this city.

Last rites will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 19. Services will be conducted by Rev. Leland W. Mann of the local Congregational church in the home of Mr. and Mrs. F.W. Tomasek in Grinnell at 10 o'clock a.m. At 2:30 in the afternoon funeral services will be held in the First Presbyterian church at Williamsburg, of which Mrs. Tomasek had been a member for many years.

Mrs. Tomasek, Sr., had made her home in Grinnell with her son for more than a year. During that time and on many other occasions when she visited here, she has endeared herself to many Grinnell friends who are saddened at news of her passing.

Mrs. Tomasek was a resident of Williamsburg, Iowa for almost fifty years. She was a graduate of the University of Iowa and taught in the Williamsburg High School before her marriage. She was very active in the church and civic affairs of the Williamsburg community, and was a member of the Iowa State Historical Society and of the P.E.O. Her husband was a merchant and died in 1937.
