THOMAS P. GRUWELL, GRINNELL COLLEGE '05, DIES IN MINNEAPOLIS

Thomas P. Gruwell, graduate of Grinnell college in 1905, died Saturday, Jan. 17 in Minneapolis, where he had taught for 42 years, most of the time in West high school. Funeral services were held Wednesday.

Mr. Gruwell grew up in Grinnell. His father was a druggist here first as a member of the firm of Johnson & Gruwell, and later as Gruwell & McGuin. The store was located where the Mathews drug store now operates. A brother, John P. Gruwell of the college class of 1896 died a few years ago.
