Inez McWilliams, 90

Inez McWilliams, 90, of Pleasant Park Estate in Oskaloosa and formerly of Thornburg, died Thurs., Feb. 29, 1996 at Kavanagh Hospice House in Des Moines after a long illness.

Funeral services were held Sun., March 3, 1996 at the Hilltop Chapel Church in What Cheer with the Rev. John DeBoef officiating. Burial was in the Golden Rod Cemetery at Deep River.

Inez was born Oct. 21, 1905, near Guernsey, Iowa to Frank and Lena Slager Floerchinger. She was united in marriage to Alva McWilliams on Oct. 11, 1922. In 1929, she and her husband were partners in the grocery store and trucking business. In 1938 they moved back to a farm near Deep River. She retired to Thornburg and in 1990 she went to reside at the Pleasant Park Estate in Oskaloosa.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Lola Close; one grandson, Stephen Ritchie, and a half sister, Bethel Mackert.

Inez is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sandra McWilliams of Deep River; two daughters and one son-in-law, Collene and Bill Anksorus of Marshalltown, and Erma Ritchie of Pella; one brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Edna Floerchinger of Davenport; one stepsister, Rosetta Williams of Cedar Rapids; one stepbrother, Orville Stephenson, Traer; one half-brother, Frank Floerchinger, West Branch; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
