LAST RITES SAID FOR MRS. PARKER

Mrs. Norma V. Parker, 42, of 1625 3rd Ave., died Saturday at the local hospital following an extended illness.

The daughter of Harold C. and Jessie Jacob Gerard, Mrs. Parker was born on April 10, 1926, near Montezuma, Iowa. She attended the Montezuma and Barnes City schools and graduated from the Grinnell High School in 1943.

Mrs. Parker was united in marriage to Fred A. Parker on August 13 1945, and following their marriage they lived in Waterloo, Iowa. The past four years she has made her home with her parents. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Waterloo. Survivors include her husband Fred of Waterloo; a daughter, Maria (Mrs. Merle) Killinger of Grinnell; three grandsons--Craig, Kevin and Curtis; her parents--Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gerard of Grinnell; a sister, Barbara (Mrs. David) Mallory of Eureka, Ill.; and a brother, Robert, who is stationed in Japan with the Air Force.

Funeral services for Mrs. Parker were Monday (today) at 2 p.m. at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home. Elder Dennis Taylor officiated and interment was in the Ewart Cemetery.

Mrs. Dennis Taylor was the vocalist. Organist was Mrs. Leonard Pearce and the pallbearers were Homer Gerard, Clifford Gerard, Paul Gerard, Eldon Gerard and Ernest Opdahl.
