FUNERAL SERVICES HELD HERE FOR LEE ALBRIGHT, 76

Former Grinnellian Lee Albright, 76, died at an Eldora hospital Monday, April 23rd.

Funeral services were held at the Smith Funeral Home Thursday, April 26th, with the Rev. B.H. Thorlakson, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Vocal music was provided by Mrs. Noel Taylor, accompanied by Mrs. Kathleen Heffner at the organ.

Pallbearers were Gail Latcham, John Latcham, Lavern Latcham, Leonard Latcham, Donald Souter, and Robert Souter. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.

Born at Cadiz, Ind., on Oct. 29th, 1885, he was the son of Daniel and Sarah Piles Albright. At an early age he moved to Iowa and resided at Grinnell and Eldora, and other communities.

On May 1st, 1906, at Newton, he was united in marriage with Della May Latcham. To this union were born eight children: Charles, Bernard, Paul, PirLee, Bobby, and Raymond Albright; Mrs. W.B. (Ana Belle) Higgason and Mrs. Alvin (Betty) Sielaff. Bobby and Raymond preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife; six children; 18 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Esther Carter of Grinnell; and one brother, Ben Courter of Marion, Ind.

Mr. Albright had been employed as a salesman and insulation installer. He was retired in recent years and had lived in the Eldora area for the past 30 years.
