The Montezuma Republican; April 17, 1895

DEATH of MRS. PIMLOTT.--The What Cheer Patriot says: The circumstances surrounding the death of Mrs. Pimlott are made additionally sorrowful by the fact that three little children, the youngest three weeks old and the eldest but three years and a few days, are left motherless. She was ill only from Thursday night at 12 o'clock, and died Saturday, April 6th, at 11:30 p.m., of hemorrhage of the stomach. The deceased, whose maiden name was Miss Katie Krate, was united in marriage to P.P. Pimlott in Johnson county February 12, 1891. After a short residence there they moved to Poweshiek county, and remained one year, thence to the E. Headlee place two miles east of this city, where her demise occurred. The funeral services were held from the Christian church Tuesday, April 9th, conducted by Rev. J.H. Garritson. Interment at Highland cemetery. The following friends and relatives from a distance were present: Mrs. Krate, George, August and Miss Mary Krate of Wellman; Mrs. Tabitha Pimlott and son Henry of Malcom; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Wasson and Mr. and Mrs. L. Spake of Montezuma.

NOTE: The surname "Krate" should be Kreth. MH
