ROBERT L. GERARD

Robert L. "Bob" Gerard, 65, of Cheyenne, Wyo., the son of Jessie Gerard of Grinnell, died Saturday at United Medical Center - West, Cheyenne.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes in Cheyenne, with burial in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Military honors and pallbearers were provided by the American Legion Honor Guard.

He was born Sept. 27, 1931, in Pleasantville, Iowa, to Harold and Jessie Gerard. He had been a Cheyenne resident since 1972.

Mr. Gerard had retired from the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Postal Service. He was a court security officer for the U.S. Marshal Service at the time of his death. He was affiliated with the Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Phyllis, to whom he was married Dec. 29, 1951; two sons, Randy L. of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Robert W. of Cheyenne; one daughter, Joy E. Gerard of Cheyenne; his mother; one sister, Barbara Mallory of Washington, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Norma Parker.
