LOUISE SMITH

Louise Kay Smith, 43, of 532 Park St., Grinnell, died of cancer Thursday, Nov. 5, at her home.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Orville Jank, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Dillon, Iowa, officiating. Organist was Naomi Reaves, and pallbearers were Tom Collum, John Light, Kelly Miller, Kevin Olson, Mike Shahan and Dave Weaver. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery.

Memorials in Mrs. Smith's name may be left at the funeral home.

The daughter of Walter James and Pauline Holder Osborn, she was born on Feb. 14, 1944, at Newton. She attended school at LDF, Zearing and Montezuma.

On Dec. 13, 1968, she was married to Kenny Arnold Smith at Omaha, Neb. The couple lived in Grinnell where for the past nine years Mrs. Smith was an inspector for DeLong Sportswear.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Debbie Shearer, Susan Bailey and Denise See, all of Grinnell; one son, Tommy of Burlington; her mother, Pauline Osborn of Marshalltown; seven grandchildren; one sister, Sandy Harvey of Jacksonville, Ark.; and two brothers, Ron Osborn of Marshalltown and Jim Osborn of Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her father.
