MR. BOWMAN, 95, RITES SATURDAY

Lovett Bowman, 95, died Tuesday in Pine Bluffs, Wyo.

He was born at Osterdock, Iowa, the son of Aaron and Mercy Lovett Bowman, and was raised in the Garber area where he attended school. He was married to Stella Harbaugh at Garber Oct. 3, 1897. The couple moved to Toledo in 1914, to Garwin, Iowa in 1925, and to Grinnell in 1936. He moved to Pine Bluffs in 1960.

Mr. Bowman is survived by one son, Earnest of Pine Bluffs; four daughters, Mrs. Orva Hews of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Betty Henney of Medford, Ore., Mrs. Verda Ebersold of Toledo, and Mrs. Elsie Ebersold, also of Toledo; 17 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, D.W. Bowman of Toledo and Morris Bowman of Garber; and one sister, Mrs. Hannah Borrett of Guttenberg, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1957, two sons and two daughters.

Funeral services for Mr. Bowman will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Henderson Funeral Home in Toledo, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
