EYLER C. EASTER PASSES AWAY IN BARNES CITY

Bunker Hill, Ia., Feb. 22, Special:

Eyler C. Easter, son of Samuel R. and Sarah Easter, was born in Highland county, Ohio, March 27, 1859, and departed this life at his home in Barnes City February 3, 1935, at the age of 75 years, eight months and seven days. At the age of nine years he came with his parents to Iowa and located on a farm in Poweshiek county near Montezuma. Here he devoted most of his early life to farming.

When a young man Mr. Easter united with the Christian church at Ewart and remained a steadfast believer in the faith to the end.

In June, 1888, he was united in marriage to Amanda Hersom of Searsboro. To this union was born one son, Samuel D. Easter of Belville, Ill. His wife preceded him in death November 23, 1897.

On November 15, 1899, he was united in marriage to Miss Estella Driskell of Montezuma. For the past 30 years he had resided in Barnes City.

He is survived by three brothers, J.E. of Oskaloosa, and E.A. and J.P. of Barnes City; one half brother, Professor D.E. Easter of Des Moines; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Downey of Searsboro and Mrs. Florence Gwinn of Brooklyn.

Funeral services were held from the Christian church at Barnes City February 5, conducted by E.M. Gregson. Burial took place in the West Liberty cemetery east of Searsboro.
