MRS. MATTIE FIELDS DRISKELL

Mattie May Fields was born in Poweshiek county, August 15, 1885, and passed from this life Oct. 1st, 1922, at four o'clock in the family home in Grinnell, after a long illness with peritonitis. She was 37 years, 1 month and 15 days old.

She was the daughter of George and Sarah Fields. During most of her life she has lived in the vicintiy of Montezuma and Grinnell. December 9, (???) she was united in marriage to George T. Driskell, who survives her.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and four children, Mrs. Carl Zirbel, Lyle Raymond Driskell, Kenneth Irvin Driskell and Dorotha Leona. Also one grandchild, Max Zirbel. Besides the grief-stricken husband and children, she leaves one brother, Worth E. Fields, of Grinnell, and three sisters, Mrs. L.O. Osborne of Brookfield, Mo.; Mrs. S.D. Murhpy of Grinnell and Mrs. Al Mier, Chicago.

The funeral services were held in Grinnell at the Christian church, and body was laid at rest in Hazelwood cemetery.
