MRS. ALBERT NEVILLE DIED ON THURSDAY AGED 82 YEARS

Mrs. Elizabeth Neville, wife of Albert E. Neville, passed away at her home, 930 Spring street, Thursday afternoon, aged 82 years. Mrs. Neville was born in Darby Line, Canada, June 12, 1866 and had been a resident of this community for over 70 years.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. W.B. Wilson were held Sunday afternoon at the James Funeral Home. Music was provided by Mrs. Roscoe Dempster and Mrs. Everett Curtis. Pall bearers were Harold Haines, Clyde Sonderegger, Austin Legg, Bernard Young, Dwight Pierce and Bennie Baustian. Interment was in Ivy Hill cemetery near Malcom.

MRS. LIZZIE NEVILLE

Mrs. Lizzie Chase Neville was the daughter of Edwin and Sarah Bullock Chase, and was born at Darby Line, Canada, June 12, 1865, and passed away in Grinnell, June 17, 1948, at the age of 83 years and five days.

At the age of about six she came to Grinnell when it was a pioneer town, and has resided in Poweshiek county, continuously since that time, with the exception of a short time spent with her daughter, Mrs. Nellie Munford at Durham, N.C.

On October 20, 1886, at Newton, she was married to Albert Neville. There were born to the home a son Leslie E., now deceased, and a daughter, now Mrs. Nellie Munford.

She is survived by her husband, four sisters, Mrs. Cora Pearce of Grinnell, Mrs. Allie Peters of California, Mrs. Eliza Legg of Marshalltown, and Mrs. Phoebe Knapp of Grinnell.

There are also 10 grandchildren, Miss Lois Munford of Grinnell, with whom she has been living, Neville Munford of Madrid, Edwin Munford of Saco, Maine, Mrs. Edith Tucker, Mrs. Ethel Gift, Mrs. Alyce Baber, Mrs. Lucile Griffin, Mrs. Billie Burton, and the Misses May and Virginia Munford, all of Durham, North Carolina.

Also surviving her are nine great grandchildren, and a large number of nieces and nephews now living in the Grinnell and Malcom communities.

Mrs. Neville was a woman who possessed rare qualities of neighborliness. She was devoted to her home and her friends, and generous in her help where assistance was most needed. The influence of her long and useful life will continue to bless those who came to know and love her.

Relatives present at the funeral from out of town were Mrs. Nellie Munford, A.E. Neville, Mrs. Edith Tucker, and Mrs. Ethel Gift, all of Durham, N.C., Mr. and Mrs. Neville Munford of Madrid, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Legg and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown of Marshalltown, Mrs. Charles Long, Mrs. Myrtle Anderson and Corinne and Frances Oberg, of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Brink and Worley Pearce of Osage, and Mrs. Cora Neville, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Neville, and Mr. and Mrs. William Neville and Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Baustian and family, all of Malcom.
