IVA STIMSON SERVICES HELD

Iva A. Stimson, 95, of Grinnell died Sunday, Jan. 17, at Friendship Manor.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Sheridan United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Raymond Lott of Grinnell and William Schlobohm of Sheridan officating. Organist was Donna Johnson. Pallbearers were William (Abe) Bryan, Charles Heishman, Earl Heishman, Floyd Heishman, Rod Nemec and Merle Reams.

Burial was in Sheridan Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Iva Stimson Memorial Fund and sent in care of the Smith Funeral Home, Grinnell.

The daughter of Emanuel and Sarah Franks Graham, she was born on Sept. 2, 1892, in Sheridan Township. She was a graduate of Tama High School.

On Dec. 25, 1917, she was married to Edgar Stimson in Tama. The couple farmed in Sheridan Township until moving to Grinnell in 1942.

Mrs. Stimson was a former member of the Sheridan United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Razelle Club and the Grinnell United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Darrell of San Antonio, Texas, and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edgar; one son, Gilford; two brothers, Freeman and Frank Graham; and a sister, Ida Dee.
