ROBERT VANCE WOODLE

Robert Vance Woodle was born in Wisconsin, October 18th, 1857, and passed away at his home in Brooklyn May 15, 1913, at the age of 55 years, 6 months, 27 days. He was the only son of Joseph and Rachel Woodle who came to Brooklyn when he was about two years old. Since that time the deceased has been a resident of this place.

Mr. Woodle was married to Clara Barber December 16, 1883. To this union were born five sons and two daughters, all of whom are living. Besides the widow and children he leaves two sisters and a large circle of friends to mourn his loss.

In the early fall he was taken ill and during all this time he has been a constant sufferer, being confined to his chair. Shortly after the beginning of his illness he ackowledged Christ as his personal Savior and often expressed himself as ready to go. The last few days he seemed more cheerful and much better, but the end came suddenly and quietly, and he rests where pain and suffering are no more.

Funeral services were conducted at the residence Saturday afternoon, May 17, with the pastor of the Christian Church officiating. Interment was made in I.O.O.F. cemetery.
