GONE TO HER REWARD

Miss Catherine M. Duggan was born in Iowa City, July 19, 1867, and died on January 20, 1908.

Having gone for a short visit to the homes of her sisters, Mrs.John H. and Mrs. Jas. A. Hotchkin, just west of town, she was taken ill at the home of the former. Despite all possible aid of three skilled physicians and care of loving relatives and friends, in a short week she passed from this life of earthly labors to a life of eternal happiness with her heavenly Father, whom she always loved and adored.

On the 21st her remains were taken to her home in north Sheridan, and the next day to St. Patrick's Catholic church in Tama, where high mass was offered by Rev. Father Carroll and an assistant priest.

Her remains were laid to rest in the family lot in the Catholic cemetery just north of town, beside her father, who died a short time ago.

"Kate," the name by which she was familiarly known, was a kind and loving daughter and sister and will be most sadly missed by her aged mother to whom she was ever devoted. She often said during her pains and miseries all would be well with her, but who would care for poor mother?

Besides her mother, she leaves two brothers and two sisters to mourn her loss.
