--Jno. Duggan, one of the well known citizens of North Poweshiek county, died at his home near Sheridan, Sunday, March 24, at 5 o'clock a.m. Mr. Duggan was about eighty-four years old, the exact age not being known to the family as they did not have a record of his birth. He was a native of Ireland, as was also his wife, two sons and three daughters, all of whom reside in the immediate vicinity or on the Duggan farm. The funeral services were held at St. Patrick's church in Tama on Tuesday, Rev. Father Carroll officiating. The burial was at the Catholic cemetery north of that city.--Malcom Leader.
