CATHERINE DUMBAULD

Miss Catherine Bodefield was born in Fayette county, Pa., April 9, 1838, thus being seventy-one years, three months and twenty-two days old.

She was married to Peter W. Dumbauld in the year 1857, moving to Springfield county, Pa., residing there six years, when they moved to Whiteside county, Ill., living there for two years. From that place they migrated to the prairies of Tama county forty-one years ago, where they endured the hardships of an early life. After living in Tama county four years they moved to Poweshiek county, where she has spent the remainder of her life.

Four children are left to mourn the loss of a dear loving mother: John P., Jacob L., Walter T., and Mrs. Ella Buswell.
