--Peter W. Dumbauld was born near Springfield, Fayette county, Pennsylvania, and died at his home in Grinnell on the 19th day of October, of heart failure. In the fall of 1855 he was married to Miss Katherine Bodifield, whom with two children he brought with him to his western home in 1869. Here two more children were added, all of whom with the beloved wife and mother survive him. Aside from his immediate family he leaves a father, four brothers, two sisters. Since coming to this state he has been a prosperous farmer until the past few years, when with his family he has resided in this city. The funeral services were conducted by Elder F.A. Russell of the Reorganized Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints, and the remains were taken to Sheridan township for interment.
