CONDUCT SERVICES FOR JOHN MCILRATH

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home for John R. McIlrath, Jr., who was killed Sunday in a car-motorcycle accident at Buckingham, Iowa.

The Rev. L. Willard Reynolds and the Rev. Richard Hempenius officiated at the services. Mrs. Donald Renaud was organist and Mrs. Doyle Weaver was vocalist.

Flower committee members were Mrs. John Bailey, Mrs. Ervin Claus and Mrs. Doanld Humphrey. Pallbearers were Edward Bailey, Dennis Rankin, Chuck Smith, Dan Rutherford, Steven Louden, and Richard Humphrey.

Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery in Gilman.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond McIlrath; two sisters--Mrs. Larry (Wendy) Steffen of Grinnell and Norma at the family home; two brothers--Robert of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Dennis at home; his grandparents--Mr. and Mrs. John McIlrath and Ralph Scofield, all of Grinnell; his great grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth McIlrath of Kellogg, and a niece and nephew, Michael Steffen and Michelle McIlrath.
