RITES CONDUCTED FOR LEWIS BUHROW

LAUREL, (Special): Lewis E. Buhrow, 87, a retired farmer and lifelong resident of the Laurel area died Monday (Aug. 6) at Community Hospital West in Marshalltown.

The son of Carl and Elizabeth Zesch Buhrow, Mr. Buhrow was born Nov. 25, 1885 at Laurel.

On March 6, 1922 he married Rose Vajgert.

Mr. Buhrow was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Francis (Shirley) Porter of Marshalltown; one granddaughter; and one sister, Mrs. Lillian Bearns of Cedar Rapids.

Mr. Buhrow was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral services were held Thursday at the Zion United Methodist Church in Laurel with the Rev. Richard Miller in charge.

Burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
