EDWARD SAMUEL WISECARVER

Edward Samuel Wisecarver was born in Scott county, Iowa, April 5, 1868, the son of Jacob and Frances Roseman Wisecarver. He died Tuesday, June 5, 1956, at a Grinnell hospital after an illness of about two weeks.

He was married to Catherine McGrath for 64 years, and lived in the Grinnell area for 78 years. He was a farmer by occupation.

Survivors are his wife; a son, Louis; two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Bradish of Des Moines and Mrs. Catherine Fortune of Pontiac, Mich.; a grandson, David Bradish; a brother, George, of Des Moines; and a sister, Mrs. Jessie Dunham, of Grinnell.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 8, at Smith's Funeral Home, in Grinnell. The Rev. C.E. Kingsley, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiated. Music was provided by Mrs. Rhee Auman. Pallbearers were David Bradish, Clarence Clements, Max Clements, Gene Ratcliff, Alfred Wisecarver and Raymond Wisecarver. Burial was in Hazelwood cemetery.
