SERVICES SET FOR MR. WRIGHT

Raymond S. Wright, 44, of Malcom died Saturday morning at Veterans Hospital in Iowa City following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eldon Sharp, pastor of the Pentecostal Assembly of God Church at Fort Madison, officiating. Organist will be Mrs. Willard Heffner. Pallbearers will be James and Norman Bell, Harold Moyer, Charles Olson, and Steve and Danny Wright. Graveside rites will be conducted by Marion Gibson, commander, and Edwin Richardson, chaplain, along with members of the Grinnell Veterans Ceremonial Unit. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Searsboro.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Raymond Wright family.

The son of Edward and Mary Walters Wright, he was born May 27, 1931, in Grinnell. He attended Grinnell High School and Oklahoma A and M. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

On Sept. 14, 1957, he was married to Barbara Triplett at Montezuma. The couple had five children. Mr. and Mrs. Wright lived near Grinnell and Searsboro. Mr. Wright farmed and worked for Miracle Recreation Equipment Co. The family moved to Malcom in 1972.

He is survived by is wife, Barbara; his children, Mary, Demaris, Edwina, Regina, and Jason Wright, all of the family home; his mother, Mrs. Edward Wright Sr., of Grinnell; two brothers, Edward Wright Jr. of Washington, Ill., and Virgil L. Wright of Tama; and two sisters, Mrs. Glen (Florence) Bell of Grinnell and Mrs. Alvin (Adelma) Clevenger of Harrison, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Elmer Wright; and a sister, Katherine Wright, who died in infancy.
