DELLA V. QUIRE

Della V. Quire, 102, died Sunday, April 15, at Friendship Manor.

Graveside services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at Hazelwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Anthony G. Farrell of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating.

The daughter of James C. and Emma J. Tucker Quire, she was born Nov. 4, 1887, near Sully. She attended Searsboro School and Grinnell High School. Following her education she worked for the former Grinnell Washing Machine Co., then began a 39-year career as a telephone operator with Iowa Telephone and Telegraph Co., retiring in 1948.

She is survived by two sisters, Jessie Reagen of Grinnell and Alice Lundquist of Minneapolis, Minn.
