MARY F. BROCK DIES AT HOSPITAL

Mrs. Mary F. Brock, 72, the wife of L.W. "Pat" Brock of 1307 Broad St., died Tuesday afternoon at Grinnell General Hospital.

The daughter of William B. and Ellen Twiss Frey, Mrs. Brock was born in Attica, Ind., on Aug. 24, 1898. Following her education in Indiana, she came with her family to Oskaloosa in 1917. She was a bookkeeper for the Sunstrum-Hubb Clothing Co. in that city until 1924 when she moved with her family to Cedar Rapids. While there she was employed by the Wittmer Grocery Co.

On Feb. 5, 1928 she was married to Leonard W. Brock at the Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Cedar Rapids. Mr. and Mrs. Brock had made their home in Grinnell since their marriage.

Mrs. Brock was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and the Altar and Rosary Society of the church; the Catholic Daughters of America, and the Grinnell American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, L.W. Brock; her daughter, Mary Ellen Brock; a brother, Dan Frey of Colorado Springs, Colo., and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Alice Van Deveer of Grinnell.

Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by her parents.

Requiem Mass for Mrs. Mary F. Brock will be said 9 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Leo V. Kuebrick, pastor of St. Mary's, officiating.

Organist will be John W. Penne, and vocalists will be Mrs. Ruth Ann Dayton and Wilma Schmitz.

The Rosary will be recited 7:30 Thursday evening at St. Mary's Catholic church.

Since her body was give to medical science, burial will be made at a later date in the Calvary section of Hazelwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home for additional information.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Brock in care of Smith Funeral Home.
