FORREST RECTOR, MALCOM RESIDENT, DIED NOVEMBER 10

Edwin Forrest Rector was born April 4th, 1883 in Malcom, and passed peacefully away on Nov. 10, 1942. He is survived by his wife and two children, Mrs. Gordon Osborn, of Brooklyn and Charles Rector, of New York City. Three little boys passed away at birth. Three sisters and one brother also survive him, Mrs. Fred Vest, of Norwood, Colo., Mrs. Frank Vest of Malcom, Willard Royce of New Haven, Conn. and Mrs. Arthur Magnusson, of Malcom. One brother, Glancius Royce, preceded him in death in 1918. His father died when he was but three weeks old. His mother passed away in 1935. Forrest was a patient sufferer and everything was done for him that could be to make him comfortable. After knowing that he could not live long in this climate, Mrs. Rector took him south spending one winter in Miami, Fla., two winters in Jacksonville, Texas, and two winters in Weslaco, Texas, then he began to fail rapidly and wanted to go back to his Iowa home. The came north in May. Their son, little Charles, was unable to come.
