C.S. HILL DIES AT HOME NEAR KELLOGG

Kellogg, Ia., March 2, Special:

C.S. Hill, resident of this vicinity for the past 53 years, died at his home four miles southeast of here Tuesday afternoon of last week from heart trouble. Funeral services were held at the Pleasant View M.E. church south of town Thursday morning at 11 o'clock and burial was made in the Slagel cemetery.

Charles Shoemaker Hill was born in Hillsboro, Ohio Sept. 5, 1860 and came to Iowa in early manhood, locating south of town where he has made his home since. He has lived in his present home twenty-four years. He was united in marriage to Miss Ida Adams March 19, 1884, and to this union five children were born, four of whom survive. A daughter died at the age of nine months.

Mr. Hill had seemed in his usual health until Monday when he complained of feeling sick at times. He arose Tuesday morning and began to do his chores but was taken with intense pain in the region of his heart. After a time he grew easier and seemed to feel quite well when he was seized with a second attack and passed away about 3 o'clock.

Surviving relatives include his widow; two sons, Dr. F.S. and Clarence Hill of this place; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Ferguson of Laurens, and Mrs. Howard Wheatcraft of Killduff; and one brother, George Hill of Greenfield, Ohio.
