LONGTIME KELLOGG RESIDENT SUCCUMBS

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Kellogg Christian church for Mrs. Charles (Ida Mae) Hill, 95, longtime Jasper county resident. Mrs. Hill died Thursday at a Newton hospital.

Officiating at the service was the Rev. Charles Fry, minister of the church. Burial was in Slagel cemetery.

She was the daughter of Orson and Matilda Adams and was born Jan. 8th, 1865 in Jasper county. She was educated in the Jasper county schools and lived all of her life in that county, with the exception of some time spent with a daughter at Laurens.

She was married to Charles Hill, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Doris) Wheatcraft of Kellogg and Mrs. L.E. (Lena) Ferguson of Laurens; a son, Floyd Hill of Kellogg; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a sister, Grace Adams of Kellogg; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Clarence Hill.

A son, Clarence, also preceded her in death.
