DAVID ROBERT BUSH

David Robert Bush, 47, of Escondido, Calif., died of natural causes in his home, Thursday, Sept. 22, 1988.

David was born in Des Moines, Aug. 14, 1941, the son of David R. and Ruth M. (Seidensticker) Bush. He attended high school at Missouri Military Academny, Cranbrook, Mo., and later Drake University where he graduated with a Business Degree. He moved to California in 1969 where he owned and operated many businesses including a landscaping contractor and remodeler. His latest business was to be in Newport Beach, Calif.

David was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Dr. and Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Rowland of Kerrville, Tex.; two sisters and their families: Mr. and Mrs. Jim (Suzy) Bim, Emily and Amy of Brooklyn, Ia., and Mimsy Tarman, Stacey and Kristin of Berkeley, Calif., and one aunt, Margaret Seidensticker of Escondido, Calif.

David was preceded in death by his father in 1966 and one aunt.

Private funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 26, at the Rancho Bernardo Community Church, Rancho Bernardo, Calif. Memorial services in Des Moines were conducted 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, at Dunn's Funeral Home with Rev. Josephine Barnes of United Christ officiating. Music included "How Great Thou Art." Part of the ceremony included thoughts by David's stepfather and sister Suzy as well as reading of the 23rd Psalm and The Serenity Prayer. Burial of the cremains were in Masonic Cemetery, Des Moines.
