DORIS L. BINEGAR

Doris L. Binegar, 74, of Marysville, Calif., formerly of Grinnell, died Sunday, Jan. 10, at Fremont Hospital, Yuba City, Calif.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Del Dawes, pastor of the Grinnell United Methodist Church officiating. Organist will be Margaret Wheeler. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

She was born April 16, 1924, in Grinnell to Ralph and Vida Ethel Vaughn Foster. She was raised in Newburg and graduated from Grinnell High School in 1942.

She was married to Carl T. Binegar July 2, 1950, in Grinnell. She worked at J.C. Penney and in the dietary department of the Grinnell school system.

She was a member of the Grinnell United Methodist Church, the Lady Elks and the VFW Auxiliary.

Surviving are two sons, Warren of Marysville, Calif., and Duane of Burbank, Ill.; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Clara Wallis of Grinnell and Edna Ericson of Marshalltown. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and three brothers, Benny, Orville and Wilbur Foster.

Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
