RITES HELD FOR MRS. SAUM

Margaret J. Saum, 97, of Rte. 2, Kellogg, died Sunday morning at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.

Funeral services for Mrs. Saum were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Reese Chapel in Newton, with the Rev. Ray Barnett, pastor of the Newton First Christian Church, officiating. Burial was at Our Silent City Cemetery, Kellogg.

The daughter of Madison and Martha Bicknell Sulser, she was born Feb. 26, 1882, on a farm near Kellogg. She attended Kellogg schools. She was married in the early 1900s to Jay Saum.

Mrs. Saum was a member of the WHM Club of Kellogg.

There are no immediate survivors. She was preceded in death by her husband, two step-daughters, two brothers and a sister.
