FUNERAL SERVICES FOR JULIAN HOCKENBURY

The funeral services of the late Julian Hockenbury were held at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Hockebury, 431 East street, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 conducted by Rev. Robert Inglis of the Congregational church assisted by Rev. E.M. Vittum. Burial was in Hazelwood cemetery.

Julian Hockenbury was born in Des Moines, Iowa, June 21st, 1906. He graduated in the Grinnell high school in 1924. After completing his high school studies Julian followed the occupation of a printer in California and in Iowa. About a year ago he opened the Printcraft Shop in Grinnell.

In the brief remarks of Rev. Inglis, he spoke about the beautiful side of life and to remember that side of the life of Julian. His devotion to his mother was ideal. He was always so kind and helpful to her in the home.

The pall bearers were Harry Ritter, Avery Adkins, Donald See, George Brown and his two brothers Don and Kenneth Hockenbury. The funeral was largely attended by friends and neighbors of the family.

Of the two brothers, Don, is with the Shrader Hotel in Milwaukee, as clerk, and Kenneth is a practicing attorney in Nashville, Tenn.

Card of Thanks

It is with the tenderest appreciation we extend our thanks for the universally kind spirit so generously proffered us in the passing of Julian. The many beautiful flora offerings from such splendid friends greatly mellowed the burden of the crushing tragedy and our deepest gratitude will always be yours.
