MANATT

Our citizens were greatly shocked yesterday forenoon to learn of the death of Lillie, wife of G.J. Manatt. Ten days ago Mrs. Manatt became the mother of a bright baby girl, which had come to bless and cheer the home of this young couple. Mrs. Manatt had been low ever since, and at times her life was hanging in the balance, but her husband and friends had hoped for an improvement. Yesterday morning about 9 o'clock the final summons came, when those who were administering to her wants were hardly aware that the end was so near. She passed from earth's sorrows and cares peacefully and quietly. The young husband and father, who is overwhelmed with grief, has the sympathy of all.
