ANNA MORGART, 93

UNION--Anna Morgart, 93, a former Union resident, died Wednesday, May 8, at Marshalltown Manor Care Center. Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the Union Church of Christ. Vernon Spinner and Loren Spellman will officiate. Burial will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery near Gilman.

Memorials may be directed to the family. Friends may call at the Biersborn Funeral Home, Union, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.

She was born Nov. 12, 1902, in Grayville, Ill., to Thomas and Susan Robinson Green. She grew up in Lone Rock.

On July 21, 1921, she married Rollie Morgart in Grinnell and they farmed in central Iowa. In 1947, they moved to Des Moines until 1963, when she moved to Union. For the past several years, she had resided in the Marshalltown Manor Care Center.

She was a member of the Union Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Morgart, Union; a daughter, Myrtha Morgart, Emmetsburg; a daughter-in-law, Letha Morgart, Marshalltown; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1952, two sons, one daughter, four brothers, two sisters, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
