MRS. FRANCES JANE SHELINE

Frances Jane Sheline was born in West Virginia, August, 31, 1844, and departed this life, July 30, 1921, aged 76 years, and 11 months. She was married to Samuel Sheline, January 27, 1859. To this union were born thirteen children, seven of whom preceded her to the better land. Her husband also preceded her on March 18, 1921, being four months and twelve days. She leaves to mourn her loss, six children: D.M. Sheline of St. Joseph, Mo.; Mrs. M.W. Boram of Kellerton, Iowa; Mr. B.F. Sheline of University Park, Iowa; Mr. S.U. Sheline of Grinnell, Iowa; Mrs. C.O. Carmer of Grinnell, Iowa; Mrs. A.F. Gilbert of University Park, Iowa. Also one brother of Weldon, Iowa, four half brothers, and two half sisters, eighteen grandchildren, 28 great grand children and a host of friends.

She was converted in 1886, under the preaching of Sister M.J. Reed, and six weeks later through reading the Bible and prayer she was led into entire sanctifiction. She joined the M.E. Church, later was transferred to the Nazarene Church of Oskaloosa, Iowa, of which she is still a member.

She has been a great sufferer for years with organic heart trouble but at the last she was seriously ill only forty-eight hours. She peacefully passed away at her home in University Park, Iowa, Saturday at 1:10 P.M. She lived an exemplary christian life and has been instrumental in leading many souls to God for which many stars will be added to her crown. She has talked much of Heaven and her future Home and had all preparations made, and her last words were that she would soon be with daddy, and while she will be greatly missed by all, we look up through it all and say, "Thy will, not ours be done."

Mrs. Sheline was formerly a resident of Grinnell and has many friends here to mourn her loss.

The funeral was August 1, with burial at University Park. Mrs. C.O. Carmer and Mrs. Harvey Griffith attended the funeral.
