Miss Jane Orr was born in the north of Ireland August 12, 1841 and died at the home of her sister, Mrs. J.J. Sloan, November 10,1917, age 76 years and 3 months. She came to America in 1863 and settled with the family in Pittsburg, Pa. She moved to Iowa in 1870. Sometime in early life she became a member of the Methodist church. She made her home with her sister for more than fifty years. The funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Episcopal church Sabbath afternoon at 2:30 by the pastor, Rev. John W. Pool.

NOTE: She was baptised 6 Sep 1840 so tombstone birthyear is incorrect.
