DICK ORR KILLED
Working At Plumber Trade When Accident Occurred

Many friends in Brooklyn were shocked to hear of the tragic death of "Dick" Orr at Montezuma Friday morning. A weak heart was thought to have been responsible for his being killed by a live wire carrying only 110 volts. Mr. Orr had lived in Brooklyn previously to going to Montezuma, and was an employee of Breckenridge and Company for many years. Several from here attended the funeral services.

The following is taken from yesterday's Montezuma Republican:

Clarence Orr, better known as Dick met instant death when he came in contact with an electric light wire carrying 110 volts Friday morning, at about 11:30. The body was found by Walter and Ross Bowers in the Harold Bone residence, where Mr. orr had been working at his plumber's trade. The death came as a distinct shock to his many Montezuma and Brooklyn friends. The body was found on a ledge in the basement with an electric light socket in his hand.

Mr. Orr had for the past two years operated a plumbing shop in the Clark's bulding, north of the Lorensen furniture store and had gradually built up a fine business. He was popular and his fair business dealings had made for him many friends. He was an expert workman. To some of the older men he will be remembered as a good baseball player.

Funeral services were conducted from the Christian church Sunday by Rev. W.P. Honn and interment was at Brooklyn, his former home. He leaves to mourn his sudden death, a wife and five children.

Clarence, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Orr, was born in Brooklyn, December 23rd, *1891 and departed this life Friday, June 11th, 1926.
