I.L. GILBERT DIES IN MONTEZUMA

I.L. Gilbert of Grinnell, who for the past few years has lived at the county home, died at the Montezuma hospital, Thursday, February 7th. He was past 86 years of age. Last week Mr. Gilbert fell, breaking a hip. The infirmities of old age would not permit of his recovery.

Funeral services were held from the Lorenzen funeral parlors Saturday morning at eleven o'clock by the Rev. A.H. Barker. Interment was in the local cemetery.

Ike enjoyed a wide acquaintanceship in Grinnell. He for many years drove a delivery wagon for the Dodge Flour mill and his familiar figure could be seen at all times on the streets.--Montezuma Republican.
