MRS. CAMPBELL PASSES
Margaret Vance was born in Newtonards, County Down, Ireland, Feb. 8, 1866, and died at her home in Grinnell, July 30, at the age of 61 years, 5 months and 22 days. She was the oldest child of Andrew and Houston Vance. She grew to womanhood in Ireland and on April 1887 she was united in marriage to John Campbell. They came to this country shortly after their marriage and located on a farm near Deep River.

To this union were born 3 children. They are: Mrs. Alice Lemke of Newton, Iowa, David, and Mrs. Margaret Norris of Grinnell. On Aug. 12, 1894 her husband departed this life after which she moved to Grinnell where she has since made her home.

She united with the Congregational church soon after moving to Grinnell and was still a member at the time of her death.

She leaves to mourn her death, her 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 2 sisters--Mrs. Isaac Beattie of Belfast, Ireland and Mrs. George Halsey of Aylesbury, England, and a brother, David Vance of Newtonards, Ireland; a niece, Susanna Beattie of Cleveland, Ohio, besides a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ira F. Norris, being conducted by the Rev. Royal J. Montgomery.

Pallbearers were: Roy Anderson, Lafe Gilfillan, Wess Hartzell, Edmund Clifford, Henry P. Simmon, and Gunder Martinson.
