--Lela Gay Norris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Norris, was born Feb'y 3d, 1886 and died at their home Thursday, June 29, 1897. The funeral was conducted by Rev. J.E. Corley at 2 p.m. June 30th at the home, in the presence of a house filled with sympathizing relatives and friends. Before she was two years of age Lela was the victim of an unfortunate fall, which made her a cripple and a great sufferer the balance of her days, and doubtless hastened her death. Many of her little friends were present at the funeral service and dropped flowers on her casket at the grave.
