Roy "Slim" Martin, 87, of Grinnell died of a heart attack Wednesday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.

Mr. Martin, a retired carpenter, was born in Hopkinton and moved to Grinnell in the early 1940s. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Grinnell American Legion.
