W H wilson Passes Away Had Lived in Poweshiek Co. for many Years. Was born and Raised in North Carolina And during the Civil War fought with the South. W H Wilson aged Resident of Grinnell, died at the home of his son G G Wilson Tuesday June 28 1921. He was born in Yadkin Co N.C. June 7 1841 He and his good wife,who survives him were married on November 11 1860. They celebrated their Golden Wedding ten years ago last fall. He came to Poweshiek Co about 1866 and has lived in and near the county most of the time since. Besides his wife he leaves 8 children 34 Grandchildren 17 GGrandchildren 1GGGrandchild. Not long ago a picture of the representatives of the five generations appeared in the Des Moines Capital. Mr and Mrs Wilson had nine children, one of whom Ella Douglas of Cedar Rapids died in 1907. Those living at this time are GT Wilson of Unity WI, Laura J Steele of Montezuma IA, GG Wilson of Grinnell, Addie Broadston of Newton, Lillian B Broadston of Des Moines, RD Wilson of Niobara Neb, Hattie Norris of Brooklyn, and Stella P Keyes of Oskaloosa funeral service was held in the Friends Church by the Rev Charles Baurele of Lerna Ill. a minister of the same faith to which Mr wilson was converted in 1886
