James and his wife, Mary Ann, raised their large family in Keokuk County, IA for years before moving to Warren Twp., in Poweshiek County, IA. They finally settled in Lincoln Twp, Poweshiek County. Mr. Lisle was preceded in death by his wife, their eldest son, John, and an elder sister, Elizabeth (nee Lisle) Norris. Mrs. (Mary Ann) Lisle and Elizabeth Norris are buried in Poweshiek County, IA. Mr. John B. Lisle is buried in NE. Their daughter, Sarah Jane Lisle, who married Garrett R. Rorabaugh died in 1915 and is also buried in Poweshiek County, IA.
