CHARLES BAIRD WED
The marriage of Elizabeth Hansen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hansen and Charles E. Baird, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Baird, took place at the Emmanuel Lutheran church in Grafton at five o'clock Wednesday evening, Nov. 29. The Rev. H.L. Lechner officiated at the single ring ceremony in the presence of the groom's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Edd Baird.
The bride was attired in a wine-colored street length crepe dress with black accessories.
A wedding dinner was served in their honor at the Mr. and Mrs. Edd Baird home in Grafton at six o'clock that evening. The table was beautifully decorated and the meal was served by candle light. Guests included the Rev. and Mrs. H.L. Lechner, Mr. and Mrs. Edd Glasel, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Graper, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Krider and Peggy Anne.
Mr. and Mrs. Baird spent the week end in Grafton and then visited in Minnesota and other places of interest in the northern part of the state before returning here where they are at home with his parents.
A group of neighbors and friends went to the Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Baird home Thursday evening for a charivari for the newly married couple. The evening was spent playing cards and games, after which the crowd was treated.
The entire community extends its best wishes and congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Baird.
