CAPT. J.F. BEELER HOLDS
RESPONSIBLE POSITION

Captain John Fielding Beeler, son of O.F. Beeler of Hugo, a former Poweshiek county resident, has been in service for a number of years and is now an inspector of Army plants.

Capt. Beeler was born in Poweshiek county, attended the public school at Hugo and graduated from the Manual Training High School in Denver, Colo. He then enrolled at the University of Colorado at Boulder and graduated from that institution with an electrical engineering degree. He served for three years as a flying cadet in the Air Corps at March Field, Cal., from 1931 to 1934. When war was declared he was a second lieutenant in the reserves and later was promoted to a captaincy.

Captain and Mrs. Beeler reside at Spokane, Wash. The captain is a grandson of the late John Beeler of the Blue Point community.
